The applicant was requesting a minor change to the exterior colors of their building at 22,800 Via Villagio in Marketplace at Coconut Point.

They were requesting to change one of the five approved paint colors to Olive Branch Green, which is their “brand” color, to be used as an accent color on the building and on the canopies.

Piccolo Buco, by Coopers Hawk, will feature a pizza recipe from Italy, classic Italian pastas, desserts and Italian wines.  They will have some outdoor seating.

The Board approved this revision with conditions.

Pelican Sound

The applicant was requesting to amend the zoning conditions to allow for the overnight mooring of two pontoon shuttle boats at the existing floating dock located at the Pelican Sound River Club along the Estero River.  The applicant explained this change would reduce the number of trips the boat would make up and down the river.

The boat mooring area includes the dock, boat ramp area, kayak launch and observation pier.

Public comment: 5 residents spoke of concerns.

The Board voted to recommend Council approve this application with conditions.

Mayfield Village

Mayfield Village

The applicant was requesting a rezoning for a 7.5-acre site located at the southwest corner of Sandy Lane and Broadway Avenue East.

Lennar Homes LLC is proposing to build 17 one and two story homes with tile roofs, paver driveways and three-car garages in this non-gated subdivision.

Public Comment: 3 residents expressed their concerns.

The Board voted to recommend Council approve this application with conditions.

Workshop

The applicant is proposing a 7,020 square foot facility with six service bays, a sales floor with customer waiting area and 32 parking spaces.  They will be selling and installing tires at this facility. The garage doors will be open until 8 p.m.

The applicant presented their revised building architecture style of Mediterranean Revival for review.  They’ve added a number of architectural elements including cantilevered awnings and red tile on the tower.

The proposed site for Discount Tire is on the north side of Corkscrew Road at 10411 Corkscrew Commons Drive in Estero Interstate Commerce Park between Rib City and Mr. Tequila.

No voting occurs during workshops.
