Longitude 81 Apartments

Longitude 81 Apartments wants to change the exterior building color from the approved yellow tones to a color scheme of predominately grey.

The Board suggested that the darker gray would look better on the lower portion of the building and suggested that the tile roofs be sealed once they’ve been cleaned to protect them from mold.

These apartments are located at 11221 Everblades Parkway, west of Ben Hill Griffin Parkway and north of the Miromar Outlets Mall.

Estero Crossing

Public Space

Estero Crossing was requesting review of the development’s frontage road, landscaping within the roadway and associated infrastructure as well as their commercial phase which includes two retail buildings, parking and buffers.

The applicant reviewed the architectural components of the commercial buildings on the north side of the reverse frontage road facing Corkscrew Road, as well as their proposed signage.  The reverse frontage road will be two lanes adjacent to the pocket park and commercial buildings and will connect to a traffic light in the adjacent property (Lowe’s Plaza).

Recommendations included making sure the pedestrian areas in the pocket park include shade trees; there must be pedestrian connectivity east and west in the commercial area; the signage should be visible from the road; the paint colors and architectural enhancements on the commercial buildings need to be enhanced.

Estero Crossing is located at 10500 Corkscrew Road, a 43-acre site located on the south side of Corkscrew Road, 1,000 feet west of the intersection of Corkscrew Road and I-75.
