The Village will be conducting two separate public meetings on April 6. The first will address the River Ranch Road Improvements Project and will be held from 4:30 – 6 p.m. at Room 103A of the Estero Community Recreation Center, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd. Residents will have an opportunity to review plans, make comments, and speak with members of the project team.
A second public meeting will be held with an update on the progress related to the Village Center Hub project and potential family entertainment partners. The Public Information Session will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Estero Community Church located at 21115 Design Parc Lane.
The Village has acquired the first 20 acres of land, began rezoning to allow for family entertainment concept uses and began existing conditions mapping, including boundary survey, topographic survey, and utility locations. From December 25, 2022, until February 17, 2023, the Village received unsolicited proposals for a qualifying public-private partnership project pursuant to Section 255.065, Florida Statutes, for a family entertainment center being contemplated as part of its “Village Center Hub”.
The Village Center Hub is the first of four “Hub projects” identified in the Open Space Master Plan, which was completed by the Village in 2020. Growth plan priorities for the Village of Estero to include:
- Strong neighborhoods
- Diverse economic generators
- Interconnected mixed-use sports and entertainment centers
- Parks and public spaces
- Recreational facilities
- Unique natural environments
- Public/Private approach
