Estero is hosting a free, patriotic and entertaining Veterans Day event from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, November 9, at the Estero Community Park, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd.
There will be wartime mini musicals, free hot dogs, an American classic & muscle car show, patriotic songs by the New Horizons Choir, face painting and a visit by Too Tall Tori.
Congressman Bryon Donalds will introduce keynote speaker Lt. Gen. Gary Speer, followed by recognition of Goldstar Families and local veterans, ending with a 21-gun salute and the playing of taps.
Residents are encouraged to bring family, friends, and neighbors, along with lawn chairs or blankets.
