Estero RiverThe Village is providing an opportunity for you to provide feedback regarding your priorities for the uses on the 62-acre Estero on the River property.

Brian Canin, the Village’s consultant, has conducted one public meeting with a second scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30.

Canin explains that the 16 acres on the south side of the river is green with a mature forest appropriate for nature and civic uses but the north side of the river is an abandoned orange grove more appropriate for some residential and small commercial uses.

A survey is available for you to complete before, during or following the second and last public meeting on September 30.  The survey allows you to rate from high to low your priorities for nature & the river, parks & open space, the Village Center & Mainstreet, an art district in the Village Center, residential and architecture.

The survey may be picked up in the lobby before the meeting and also is available on the website here

Everyone is asked to complete the survey.  You may drop off the completed survey to a drop box in the Village Hall lobby or scan the completed survey and email it to Carol Sacco

Results of the survey will serve as a strong guide for planning this special place in our community.

Seating in the council chambers is limited to 25 and masks are required per CDC guidelines.

You may live stream the upcoming meeting at and provide public comment during the meeting by utilizing the eComment Card featured on the Village website:
