Tree ProtectionThe Village is considering an amendment to the tree protection section of the Land Development Code to require a permit for tree removal of protected trees on single family residential lots.

The Village Council will hold a public hearing of this tree protection ordinance at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2018, in the Village Hall Council Chambers at 9401 Corkscrew Palms Circle.

Residents are invited to attend the meeting and make their comments known during this public hearing.  You will find the ordinance here.

The ordinance does not change any existing requirements for condominiums, apartments, commercial projects or common areas within subdivisions.  The ordinance  only addresses single family residential lots.

Protected trees include live oak, maples and black olives among others. Click here for a complete list.
