The Village of Estero, Estero Forever Foundation and Estero Chamber of Commerce invite you to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Golf Coast Driving Range, 9000 Williams Road, at 9 a.m., Friday.
Doors will open at 8 a.m., with coffee and refreshments provided. In addition, driving range specials will be available from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The 10-acre Golf Coast Driving Range property was recently purchased by the Village to ultimately be re-developed for the benefit of the community. This, along with the adjacent Village-owned property to the west, has the potential to be used for public sports uses in the future.
In the meantime, the Village and the Estero Forever Foundation (EFF) have formed a partnership to use the driving range to help raise some funds for the EFF.
The Village has agreed to have the EFF operate the driving range until the property is re-developed. The revenue will go directly to the Village, with a portion to be directed back to the EFF on a monthly basis to be used to fulfill their vision statement. The EFF’s mission is Forever Building a Stronger Community.
The EFF team has started operating the driving range as a not-for-profit business with the current operating hours being 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
