Three $1,000 scholarships are available for Estero High School seniors thanks to the Estero Council of Community Leaders, Estero Chamber of Commerce and the Estero Historical Society.
Students will need to submit a two-page essay on one of the following topics: History of Estero Area (sponsored by the Estero Historical Society), Governance in the Estero Area (Sponsored by the ECCL), or Business in the Estero Area (sponsored by the Estero Chamber of Commerce.
Creativity is encouraged. Students may submit a separate essay for each of the above topics if they wish, and thus be eligible for all awards.
Submissions are due by Wednesday, April 7, 2021 and given to Ms. Terrill Hensley, Estero High College and Career Counselor.
In a cover letter, students should provide their name, address, college they plan to attend and intended major. This information will be held by the College and Career Counselor.
Submissions will be judged on their merits with no reference to the student’s name for the judging panel. Scholarships will be awarded in early May 2021.
