The Groves monument signs

The Groves is a  72-home development north of Corkscrew Road and east of Sandy Lane.

The applicant was requesting to replace 3 of the 4 existing signs at the development’s entrances.

One sign is to be replaced, and one sign to be removed and not replaced at the development’s Groveline Court and Broadway East entrance. Two signs are to be removed and replaced at their Sandline and Sandy Lane entrance.

The new signs have an opaque background and the letters and river art will be illuminated at night.   (Presentation)

Coconut Trace Medical Office Center

The Coconut Trace Medical Office Center was applying for a development order to construct a freestanding single-story 10,941 square foot medical office building on a 1.2-acre vacant lot.

The site is located at 22904 Lyden Drive, located west of Lyden, north of Bulb Lane and south of Autumn Leaves Assisted Living Facility, across from Coconut Point Mall.

The applicant demonstrated a sample of the proposed stone veneer, which has a variety of colors, as well as the roof tile samples.

The applicant demonstrated the color elements of the building which were warm colors of sand and cream and white. The stone veneer has a variety of colors. A dark bronze will be used on the front finishes, awnings, trellises and mullions. There will be decorative trellises on the north and south end of the building without plantings.   (Presentation)

The Board voted to approve this application with conditions.

Public Information Meeting

Christ Community Ministries

The applicant is requesting to expand their existing 150-seat church by 2,972 square feet, increasing the church seating to 247 seats, and the square footage to 9,015.

The church is located at 20810 Highlands Avenue, on the northwest corner of Highlands Avenue and County Road, east of US 41 and east of the Estero Fire Rescue facility.

There is a preserve on the northwest corner of this property.  They plan remove the existing portable buildings on the west side of their property; they will add a second driveway into the property and will allow for grass parking.  The building will have a metal roof and they plan to have nine lights spaced around the site. Colors of the building will be neutral in an Old Florida design. Their landscape plan includes a number of colorful trees and shrubs.  (Presentation)
