community workshopsThe Village of Estero will be holding two community workshops to gather input from residents regarding the capital improvement program (CIP).  The CIP outlines the Village’s future capital projects and expenditures.

The two public workshops will be held in the Council Chambers at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 5, and 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2018.  Village staff will be conducting these informal workshops both in the morning and evening hours in an attempt to allow as many residents as possible to participate in the budget planning process.

A summary of these public workshop sessions will then be presented to Council on June 20.

These workshops are an integral part of the Village’s preparation of the capital improvement program which identifies future projects and purchases.  This is one of the first steps for the 2018-2019 Fiscal Year budget, which will be adopted in September.

The CIP includes a description of proposed capital improvement projects, a year-by-year schedule of expected project funding, and an estimate of project costs and financing sources.

The CIP is a working document and will be reviewed and updated annually to reflect changing community needs, priorities and funding opportunities.

The Council Chambers are located on the first floor of the Village Hall, 9401 Corkscrew Palms Circle, near the entrance to the Estero Community Park.
