Bill Ribble

On January 22, 2019, the Southwest Florida League of Cities (SWFLC), announced its 2019 officers, with the Village of Estero’s Vice-Mayor Bill Ribble named President.

Other Board officers will be City of Bonita Springs Councilman Fred Forbes as Vice President; City of La Belle Commissioner Julie Wilkins as Treasurer; and City of Sanibel Vice-Mayor Mick Denham as Secretary.

The SWFLC is comprised of eleven municipalities in Charlotte, Collier, Lee, and Hendry Counties dedicated to a strong, united, and active advocacy program.  The League is committed to be a voice that is heard and is familiar to the local legislative delegation.  Preservation of Home Rule is high on the list of priorities.

The Florida League of Cities provides a united voice for Florida’s municipal governments. Its goals are to serve the needs of Florida’s cities and promote local self-government. The League was founded on the belief that local self-government is the keystone of American democracy.
