Today’s News
Continue Social Distancing
We all must continue taking steps to reduce human contact to slow the spread of COVID-19. Continue social distancing—the public health practice that encourages avoiding large crowds or group gatherings. The goal of social distancing is to protect individuals, especially the most vulnerable, by slowing down the transmission of the virus. Measures, like staying home, limiting our contact with others and avoiding people who are coughing or sneezing, help reduce the rate of spread and the number of people who will eventually get infected. These measures protect those who are most at risk if they do get infected.
Blood Drives Planned for this Weekend
The American Red Cross has graciously stepped up to host two mobile blood drives in support of Lee Health. The drives will be held at 7051 Cypress Terrace, Suite 110 in Fort Myers on today, Saturday, March 21 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and tomorrow, March 22 from noon-4 p.m. Blood drives are not “mass gatherings,” rather controlled events conducted using appropriate infection control mechanisms intended to assure the safety of the products, donors and staff. Please share this information with your family, friends and neighbors.
This communication is distributed to the Lee Health Board of Directors,
