Approximately 50 residents attended the public meeting held Thursday evening at the Estero Recreation Center to relay information and gather residents’ input on the Village’s proposed design improvements to Williams Road at Atlantic Gulf Boulevard directly west of US 41.

There were a number of enlarged concepts of the roadway for residents to review, with team members at each location to explain the proposed changes, to take comments and answer questions. There also was a Comment Table where residents could document their comments on the project.

Residents may still make their comments known by sending them to Jesse Gill, PE | Project Manager, 13461 Parker Commons Blvd, Suite 104, Fort Myers, FL 33912, JGill@kcaeng.com 239-278-5999.

The goal of this project is to provide operational and safety improvements along Williams Road and US 41, and a full median closure at Atlantic Gulf Boulevard.

Improvements also include bike lanes, sidewalks, high emphasis crosswalks, landscaping, and lighting. These improvements are anticipated to add capacity, reduce eastbound delays, and improve vehicle and pedestrian safety along the corridor.
