Corkscrew Road Widening Update from Lee County
The following work activities are scheduled to occur, weather permitting: UPDATE: Due to weather and other unforeseen conditions, LARGE DELIVERY TRUCKS HEADED TO WILDCAT RUN MUST CONTINUE TO USE THE FPL EASEMENT TO ACCESS WILDCAT RUN again from Monday, April 18 through Wednesday, April 20. Council conducted a workshop pertaining to the Village-owned property at 8801 Corkscrew Road on April 13, 2022
Mayor Katy Errington, Councilmembers Larry Fiesel, Jim Ward, Joanne Ribble, Jim Boesch, Jim Wilson, and Village Attorney Burt Saunders visited the property and conducted a short workshop to walk the site and inspect the buildings. This five-acre property is just east of the Happehatchee Center and is part of the Estero on the River property. Council will review their recommendations for the property at an upcoming meeting. They will then address a request from the Greater Estero Chamber of Commerce for financial support for their Strategic Plans for Future Growth and Impact. Wildcats to play in 2nd quarterfinals of State Cup Championship on Monday
Estero High School girls varsity soccer team is scheduled to play in the second round of quarterfinals of the State Cup Championship at our home Jeff Sommer stadium at 7 p.m., Monday, January 31. The Wildcats will be playing Barron Collier. Their record is 12-6-0. They have scored 81 goals for and had 16 goals scored against. Estero High girls record is 14-4-1, scoring 86 for and 18 scored against. Our team won 9-1 over the Jaguars in the first round of quarterfinals to go on to the second round.

COVID-19 testing sites at Century Link and Florida Department of Health in Lee County move to appointment only to ensure the public is served
The Florida Department of Health in Lee County, together with Lee County and direct healthcare company Nomi Health, announced updates to two COVID-19 testing sites to better accommodate the surge in demand for testing.
