The Board will start their meeting at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, conducting a public hearing for an amendment to Commercial Planned Development to add a 178-foot-tall monopole cell tower at 19980 Bella Terra Blvd. off Corkscrew Road. The Board will then conduct workshops for the proposed Goddard School for Early Childhood Development to be located at 10100 Arcos Avenue, and Coastal Palms Academy located at 9600 Corkscrew Road. Sign up now to participate in this 5K run/walk at Coconut Point Mall on Saturday, March 16 from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. to benefit mental health organizations and other charities in the Lee and Collier County area. The first 300 registrants will receive a Dri-Fit t-shirt.  All participants will receive a finisher medal and free 2lb bag of Ka'Chava plant base protein powder.  Awards will be given three deep, starting from ages 0-9 to 80+ age groups. This is a professionally timed event by Lin-Mark Sports, Inc. on USATF certified course FL14146EBM. On-line registration is available here.

Action Items Corkscrew Road River Creek sidewalk agreement River Creek Council approved a sidewalk easement agreement with GL Homes to obtain an easement for the meandering path along the River Creek Community on Corkscrew Road.  They agreed to reimburse GL Homes $104,994.23, with a contingency of $10,000, once the developer builds the asphalt path. Plan now to enjoy a special fun-filled day at the park starting with a Kids Zone from 1 – 6 p.m. followed by a concert by the nationally acclaimed Ben Allen Band from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Estero Community Park. There will be face-painting, bounce houses and magic shows for the kids as well as food trucks, beer and wine garden for the adults. Lee County Parks & Recreation Summer Camp registration opens at 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26. Registration is expected to draw thousands of youngsters to programs, outings and activities at the department’s traditional camps, middle school camps and specialty camps. Traditional camps are for children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade. Middle school camps are for sixth through eighth grades.
