Representatives for Hilton Garden Inn presented their plans for a 115-room, 5-story hotel to be located on the corner of Via Villagio and Sweetwater Ranch Boulevard, just east of the Estero Fire Rescue Coconut Point Station. The proposed building will be undulated vertically and horizontally, and painted in three colors: Venetian yellow, classic yellow and white, along with simulated stone features and a tile roof. The amenities include a restaurant/bar, meeting room and pool. They propose to have 10 off-site parking spaces across the street for use by the staff. The Village of Estero is closely monitoring Hurricane Dorian as it progresses toward Florida, along with our partners in Lee County and the Estero and San Carlos Park Fire teams. No evacuations are required at this time. What We Know: Hurricane Dorian will impact the eastern coast of Florida early next week (likely Monday). What We Don’t Know: It is unclear what the impact will be on Estero, at this time. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected. The Village of Estero is closely monitoring Hurricane Dorian as it progresses towards Florida, along with our partners in Lee County and the Estero and San Carlos Park Fire teams. No evacuations are required, nor has a state of emergency been declared, at this time. We are getting prepared, however, so that we can assist if needed. Workshop Representatives for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute presented their plans for an infusion center to be located east of US 41 and south of Pelican Colony Blvd., adjacent to Extra Space Storage. They are planning a single-story facility with a public space healing garden. The building as proposed will have 3 tile roof towers to add undulation, with stucco and stone elevations. There are decorative corbels over the building windows.
