The Lee County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is hosting a free community shredding event on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 9 - 11 am at Estero Park and Recreation Center at 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd in Estero. Drive up and have your paper documents transported to the on-site shredding truck by a Clerk team member. No plastic bags or electronics accepted.

Newly renovated library in Estero to open on December 18
The South County Regional Library will welcome back residents to the newly renovated building starting at 9 a.m., Thursday, December 18. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., on Thursday, and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., on Friday and Saturday at their 21100 Three Oaks Parkway location. The Village of Estero and High 5 Entertainment are happy to announce the official groundbreaking ceremony for this exciting new addition to Estero from 3 - 4 p.m., Friday, November 14. Residents are invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new, professional-level turf field at Jeff Sommer Stadium at 5 p.m. Friday, August 23.
