Koreshan Nights first concert of the season on January 11
Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy live music performed by Ross Mead from the porch of the Planetary Court in Koreshan State Park from 7 pm to 9:30 pm, Saturday, January 11. Food will be available from Chef R71. Tickets are $10 and limited in number. The price includes entry to the park. Purchase tickets here. The gate opens at 6:30 pm with the music beginning at 7 pm. Local USCG Auxiliary offering boat safety course on January 13
The local US Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering a course on how to safely navigate the channels and waterways inside the southwest coast of Florida along the Gulf of Mexico. This course includes a satellite flyover of Estero Bay and Estero River at low tide to identify sandbars, oyster bars and other hazards local boaters should watch out for. The Local Waters Knowledge course is being offered at $45 from 6 – 8 p.m., Monday, January 13, at the Flotilla 96 Station, 13531 Vanderbilt Drive. Call (239) 594 – 8009 to register for this class.

Each year, the Estero Historical Society celebrates the 4th of July by bringing segments of history connected with the signing of the Declaration of Independence “to life” for all to enjoy.
