Residents will be able to dispose of household chemical waste safely and responsibly from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22. Items will not be accepted either before or after that time period. Chemical waste categories include items that are ignitable, corrosive, explosive and/or reactive and toxic, such as leftover paints, cleaners, herbicides, pesticides, automotive fluids and pool chemicals. Never dispose of these items in dumpsters, compactors or at curbside with household garbage or down a storm drain or in the soil. See Lee County Solid Waste link for household chemical waste categories. Spooktacular night in Estero Park

Come out to the park from 5 – 8:45.m., Saturday, October 18, for a night of family friendly and spooktacular fun. Activities include a trunk-or-treat and a donation drive benefiting the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW).  Stay for a Movie in the Park, featuring “The Minecraft Movie” rated PG.   The movie starts at 7:15 p.m. Bring chairs or blankets. Jacob Winge Each year, the Estero Historical Society celebrates the 4th of July by bringing segments of history connected with the signing of the Declaration of Independence “to life” for all to enjoy. This annual free celebration starts at 9 a.m., Friday, July 4, 2025 with local historian Jacob Winge who will be reading the Declaration dressed in authentic 18th-century period costume.
