Event postponed: Summer of Safety demonstration in Estero Community Park Tuesday, June 11
Lee County Board of County Commissioners Summer of Safety Demonstration at the park was postponed due to heavy rains.; it will be rescheduled soon. The event will introduce Lee County’s new AED technology and will provide a demonstration at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 11. Abuse Counseling and Treatment “Lunch & Learn” on May 30
Join the Lee County Sheriff's Office for an informative "Lunch & Learn" presented by ACT (Abuse Counseling and Treatment) addressing "Sexual Violence, Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking: Detection and Resources" on Thursday, May 30, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. ACT will address these disconcerting matters, helping attendees better understand them and learn about available resources. The "Lunch & Learn" will be held at the LCSO Community Outreach Center located in Suite 190 at Miromar Outlets, 10801 Corkscrew Road. Lunch generously donated by Ford's Garage at Miromar Outlets. National athletic event at Estero Recreation Center on May 17 & May 18
Lee County Parks & Recreation’s Estero Recreation Center will host the National High School Gymnastics Association Senior Showcase Invitational on Friday and Saturday, May 17 and 18. This event features 100 high school senior girls from across the U.S. representing their individual states in a competition. The event is a culminating event for the high school careers of these top athletes. The 12th annual “Breaking Par at Grandezza” is a two-day fundraising event to benefit Estero High School students who don’t have the resources to go on to college or trade schools. You may support this event by playing in the shotgun/scramble at Grandezza at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, April 13. and/or attending the gala dinner at Grandezza at 5:30 – 8:15 p.m., Sunday, April 14. Great turnout for EsteroFest 2024 on March 16
Approximately 2,200 Estero residents, their families and friends came out on a sunny Saturday afternoon to join in the festivities at the EsteroFest 2024 event at Estero Community Park. Starting out, there was a popular Kids Zone featuring face-painting, carnival games, arts and crafts, bounce houses, magic shows, Way Too Tall Torrie and kid friendly food trucks. Later, adults enjoyed a beer and wine garden, a variety of food trucks and the music performed by the Swamp Blues Band followed by the nationally acclaimed Ben Allen Band. Estero’s EGGStravaganza featuring an adaptive egg hunt will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Estero Park, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd. Preregistration is required by calling the recreation center at 239-533-1470 or online at www.leeparks.org/register. The egg hunt and the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny are for children age 12 and under. The cost is $5 per child. Bring your camera and basket.
