In an effort to keep Florida residents and visitors safe and aware regarding the status of the virus, the Florida Department of Health will continue to issue this update every day through Phase 1 of Florida’s reopening plan. The Florida Department of Health COVID-19 dashboard is also providing updates once per day. The state also provides a report detailing surveillance data for every Florida county. South County Regional Library to open its doors after Memorial Day
Library patrons will be able to visit the library in Estero with limited service, hours and capacity beginning Tuesday, May 26. The library will open at 25% capacity with hours 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Contactless services and book returns will continue. Lee County to open more Parks & Recreation sites and amenities on May 22
The county announced today the re-opening of pools, playgrounds, pavilions, courts, multi-purpose fields (soccer/lacrosse/football), fishing piers and splash pads beginning Friday, May 22. This decision was based on the continued voluntary compliance and the community’s greater awareness for Centers for Disease Control guidelines. Staff will be onsite to help encourage following the CDC guidelines, including social distancing. Parks staff have placed additional signs advising of CDC guidelines at all sites.
