Residents who want to drop off household chemicals for proper disposal can resume bringing their old paint, antifreeze, motor oil and solvents to the Lee County facility designed to accept these and other materials next week. The Topaz Court Solid Waste Annex, 6441 Topaz Court, Fort Myers, will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, for residential chemical waste and electronics drop off. The county had previously closed the site to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. There is no charge to residents for the service. The COVID-19 test site at the CenturyLink Stadium is to test for the COVID-19 virus; it is not a testing site for antibodies.  This site is for those that believe that they currently have COVID-19.  Here is what you need to know before going to the testing site: You will wait in a long line; it is an approximate two-hour processing time from the front gate to the final test tent. Village expands restaurant outdoor dining options   To accommodate local business owners and assist with compliance under the Governor’s Executive Order 20-112 issued on April 29, 2020 the Village of Estero has a temporary policy for outdoor dining for restaurants. This will help businesses maintain social distancing within restaurant capacity limits under the Executive Order.   Restaurants will have the ability to expand outdoor seating areas into parking lots and other areas.
