The Estero Historical Society is inviting the entire community to celebrate the 4th of July with a reading of the Declaration of Independence. This is a great way to kick off the Independence Day holiday weekend, remembering the importance of what this day in American history represents. This annual celebration starts at 10 a.m., Saturday, with local historian Jacob Winge who will be reading the Declaration dressed in authentic 18th-century period costume. Golf Coast Driving Range to close temporarily for two weeks on June 25
The driving range will be closed from Sunday, June 25 through Sunday, July 9 in order to do necessary maintenance and provide time off for the staff and volunteers Normal daily hours of operation will resume on Monday, July 10. The Estero Forever Foundation staff and volunteers have operated the Village of Estero's Golf Coast Driving Range as a community service project since August 15, 2022. They look forward to seeing you when they reopen and hope you have enjoyed the services provided by their staff and volunteers.
Corkscrew Road Widening Update from Lee County on June 23, 2023
During the daytime hours on Wednesday, June 28, motorists should expect the driveway to The Shoppes at Grand Oaks from Corkscrew Road to be closed for crews to restore the driveway. The driveway is anticipated to be open early Thursday morning, June 29. Crews will be pouring some sidewalk between Ben Hill Griffin Parkway and Stoneybrook Golf Drive. Pedestrians should continue to expect the sidewalk on the south side of the road closed. The Village of Estero is constructing the shared use path.
