Florida Cancer Specialists
The Board conducted a public hearing for Florida Cancer Specialists.
The applicant presented their plans to develop a 16,000 square foot single story medical office and outpatient treatment center at 8440 Murano Del Lago Drive, east of US 41 and south of Pelican Colony Boulevard, next to Extra Space Storage.
There will be a sidewalk on the interior and exterior to this property, the approach aprons will be pavers and there will be 22 parking spots. The architecture is a blend of Estero Mediterranean with high tech, with some barrel tile roof, aluminum shade structures, trellis and button decorations on the rear of the building. The Board voted to approve this development order with the stipulations associated with the changes to the signage.
Workshop
Burger King
The Board conducted a workshop for a Burger King Fast Food Restaurant to be located at 21301 Town Commons Drive in the Estero Town Center Development (Lowe’s) next to Ruby Tuesday’s located to the east.
Council had asked for further details regarding the design, site plan, stacking of vehicles, landscaping and pattern book for this proposed development.
The applicant stated there will be two drive-through lanes, which would be in front of the building on Corkscrew Road with a right-of-way of 20 feet. All air conditioning units are shielded, LED fixtures would be similar to those in the property and outdoor seating would be under the awnings. (Presentation)
The Board stated the building looks good but the applicant might consider brackets under the roofline, along with a few other modifications including extending the roofline of the current design, or changing the orientation of the building and/or providing enhanced landscaping along Corkscrew Road.
No voting occurs during workshops.
