The Board started with a public information meeting for the School District of Lee County.  The School District will be requesting a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to develop an elementary and middle school on Three Oaks Parkway. The 68.5-acre undeveloped parcel is located south of Copper Oaks, southeast of the Post Office and bounded by Three Oaks Parkway on the west and I-75 on the east. Village of Estero Mayor Bill Ribble and Lee County Commissioner Ray Sandelli joined community volunteers handing out PPE equipment early Saturday morning. A steady stream of residents turned out on a sunny Saturday to pick up their free PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) materials. Village of Estero volunteers will be handing out free personal protection equipment (PPE) from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the following locations: Goodwill Industries, 10351 Corkscrew Commons Drive (map) Estero United Methodist Church, 8088 Lord’s Way, corner of US41 & Broadway (map) The PPE handout includes N95 masks (made in the USA) and branded Estero reusable masks, hand sanitizer bottles and grocery bags. These PPE are being provided through the CARES Act and are meant to encourage mask and hand sanitizer use during the continuing COVID pandemic.

The Village is inviting you to attend a series of workshops and public hearings to discuss its first Land Development Code.  The code is important because it sets the standards for the community’s future development and redevelopment.
