The rise and fall of the cattle industry is the topic local historian Jacob Winge will discuss as part of the Estero Historical Society’s Speaker Series at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 12, at Country Creek Country Club. Tickets $15 for members, $20 for non-members. Then on Saturday, April 26, the Swamp Blues Band will perform, bringing the authentic sounds of the swamp to life. Estero EGGStravaganza will feature an adaptive egg hunt beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 19, at Estero Park, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd. The egg hunts and the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny are for children age 12 and under.
