The Village has prioritized protecting the Estero River and is considering a program to expand utilities within the community, replacing septic tanks with central sewer and water. The ceremony started with Boy Scout Troop #30 retiring the old American flag that had flown in front of the Elks Lodge and putting up a new one. David Gerber played taps while Councilmembers and many local residents solemnly observed this traditional service. All joined in for the Pledge of Allegiance.
