Lockwood House The meeting started with a short briefing on the Estero on the River property by Community Development Director Mary Gibbs and Public Works Director David Willems.  This is the 67-acre property off of US 41 and Corkscrew Road. The portion of the property south of the river will be rezoned for park and open space public use. The Village plans to construct walking trails as the first phase. The property contains several older buildings and structures that had previously been identified as potential historical resources. The Board will start their meeting at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, with a brief presentation regarding the recent Cultural Resource Assessment Survey Update prepared for the Village by Archaeological Consultants, Inc.  The survey was conducted on the Estero on the River land located south of the river between US 41 and west of the Happehatchee Center property. Spring Run Golf Club The Board started their meeting with a public information meeting for Spring Run Golf Club which is proposing to expand their clubhouse, add an outdoor bar and dining area for casual dining, one additional bocce ball court and an improved pool deck. Spring Run Golf Club The meeting will start at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, with a public information meeting for the proposed Spring Run clubhouse expansion, addition of an outdoor bar and dining area, addition of a pool building and bocce ball court.  Spring Run Golf Club is located in The Brooks off of Coconut Road. A workshop will be held for Downtown Estero, a 34-acre site located on the east side of US 41, north of Broadway and east of the Broadway Shoppes.  They will be looking for comments on their proposed mixed use project. Abbiati Dental & Medical Office Building The Board conducted a public information meeting for the proposed Abbiati Emergency Dental Office Building located on a 1.45-acre vacant parcel on the west side of US 41, south of the Fountain Lakes entrance. Their preliminary plans call for 10,000-square feet for dental offices and possibly 5,000-square feet for general office use.  They plan to offer walk-in services for residents experiencing a dental emergency. Public Information Meeting – Pavich Center The Board started their meeting with a public information meeting for the Pavich Center, a ¾ acre property located at the intersection of Corkscrew Road and Happy Hollow Lane, ¼ mile east of US 41. Public Hearing Shoppes at University Highlands, Bldg. 5 The Board conducted a public hearing for the Shoppes at University Highlands which were requesting a development order for their Building 5, located on the west side of Ben Hill Griffin Parkway. Building 5 is a proposed, one-story 7300-sq. ft. commercial building.
