Design Review Board to conduct public information meetings for the Estero Parkway landscape design, Florida Cancer Specialists and Pavich Center at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2019
Public information meetings will be conducted for the landscape design for Estero Parkway, the Florida Cancer Specialists’ medical office and outpatient treatment center located east of US 41 and south of Pelican Colony Blvd. and the Pavich Center located at 21256 Happy Hollow Lane and 8910 Corkscrew Road. Residents are invited to attend and may speak during public comment or they may watch the meeting online at: http://estero-fl.gov/council/watch-meetings-online/ The agenda is here: http://estero-fl.gov/agendas/. Comprehensive Plan amendments and Corkscrew Crossing reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Board on June 18, 2019
The Planning & Zoning Board conducted a public hearing for amendments to the Comprehensive Plan pertaining to the 10-year water supply facilities work plan and wetlands at their meeting on June 28. Florida Statutes require that a regional water supply plan be conducted within 18 months following the South Florida Water Management District plan update. Johnson Engineering reviewed the water supply from Lee County Utilities and Bonita Springs Utilities and determined there will be an adequate supply for the Village of Estero for the next ten years (2030). Sprouts Farmers Market and Genova median landscape plan development orders approved by the Design Review Board on June 12, 2019
Representatives for Sprouts Farmers Market were requesting approval for their design for a 29,896 square-foot grocery store, associated parking infrastructure and monument sign. The applicant has made a number of changes to enhance the design of their building, removing some of the horizontal lines from the original design and adding embellishments, arches and parapets, as well as enhancing the landscape design. It’s that time of year again – Hurricane Season
As you know, hurricane season starts today, June 1 and runs through November 30, 2019. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has stated nine to 15 named storms will develop during this season. This number includes tropical storms. Corkscrew Road widening website
Lee County has created a new website to provide residents with information regarding the widening of Corkscrew Road. Lee County will share information on this new website, distribute project newsletters and fact sheets, make presentations to small groups and organizations, and conduct public meetings. The website includes a Frequently Asked Questions page as well as a way to contact those in charge of the project. Public involvement is an important part of the process.
