Recognition Council recognized the Florida Everblades ice hockey team for their successful season. New zip code may be coming for Estero
On June 18, 2018, Congressman Francis Rooney announced co-sponsoring H.R. 6113, introduced by Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart, to address unresolved unique zip code creations in the Village of Estero. Congressman Rooney stated, “When the Village of Estero was incorporated in 2014, the post office did not create a unique zip code for all of Estero. Presentation City of Sanibel Mayor Kevin Ruane asked Council to support key messages for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the South Water Management District pertaining to releases from Lake Okeechobee and their negative impacts. Questions, suggestions and concerns addressed at Village’s first Capital Improvement Program workshop
Public Works Director David Willems reviews the proposed CIP projects On June 5, the Village of Estero held the first of two community workshops to gather input from residents regarding the capital improvement program (CIP).
