The Village of Estero wants you!
As you probably already know, Estero live streams all of its official meetings. Once recorded, the meetings become available online on the Village’s website so they can be viewed at everyone’s convenience anywhere in the world. The Council Chambers has a state-of-the-art audio/video system in an operational control room in the back of the Chambers. This system includes controls for 4 video cameras, a speaker system, microphones and monitors for each Councilmember, as well as a couple of monitors for the audience. The Design Review Board will conduct public hearings for Park Place of Estero located at 9400 Park Lane and Estero Ridge Shopping Plaza which is requesting approval of the paint colors of their building. Council conducted workshops on River Oaks Park and Estero Parkway in addition to their meeting on January 17, 2018
Workshop River Oaks Park Barbara Saxton, Co-chair, “Friends of River Oaks Preserve”, and Debi Osborne, Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast, spoke about a 10-acre property at the eastern end of E. Broadway. The group is advocating the Village purchase the property and keep it as a natural preserve with community access. New hotel and Shoppes at Coconut Trace (NCH) hours of operation among applications reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Board on January 16, 2018
Public Hearings Estero Grande Plat The applicant is proposing a plat creating 9 tracts including commercial, multi-family residential, with the remaining tracts dedicated to a preserve area, roadway and road right of way, and lake and site drainage areas. Save the Date! Village’s 3rd Anniversary Party March 16
The Village of Estero will celebrate its 3rd anniversary at 6 p.m., Friday, March 16 with a free family-oriented party at the Estero Community Park. There will be face painting and other children’s activities, food vendors and outstanding entertainment provided by southwest Florida’s premier entertainers Billy Dean & Dawn. Estero High School girls soccer team playing in district championship next week
The Estero High School girls soccer team is vying for the district championship in three home games next week. The games will be played at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, January 23, 24 and 26. The team earned top seed in the district playoffs in December which allowed for all games to be played at Estero High School’s Jeff Sommer Stadium, 21900 River Ranch Road.
