The Design Review Board will conduct public information meetings for The Commons Club at The Brooks, Houck Medical and the old post office property at 5:30 p.m. on November 13. The Commons Club is requesting a 5,000 square foot addition to the existing Health and Lifestyle Center building located on Coconut Road. Houck Medical is requesting a two-story, 18,000 square foot medical building to be located at 10200 Arcos Avenue, one parcel east of the intersection of Three Oaks Parkway and Corkscrew Road. Wildcat Run Country Club presented in a Design Review Board public information meeting on October 9, 2019
Representatives for Wildcat Run Country Club located on Corkscrew Road gave a presentation on their proposed expansion of the Grill Room, outdoor deck and bocce courts on October 9. They plan to enhance the existing facilities, including adding an attractive entry and dining room with outdoor bar with fire pits, umbrella tables and soft seating. The changes include adding 2 bocce courts. The building’s paint color and roof tile will match the color of the clubhouse. Representatives for Hilton Garden Inn presented their plans for a 115-room, 5-story hotel to be located on the corner of Via Villagio and Sweetwater Ranch Boulevard, just east of the Estero Fire Rescue Coconut Point Station. The proposed building will be undulated vertically and horizontally, and painted in three colors: Venetian yellow, classic yellow and white, along with simulated stone features and a tile roof. Workshop Representatives for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute presented their plans for an infusion center to be located east of US 41 and south of Pelican Colony Blvd., adjacent to Extra Space Storage. They are planning a single-story facility with a public space healing garden. The building as proposed will have 3 tile roof towers to add undulation, with stucco and stone elevations. Public Information Meeting Estero Parkway landscape design Ted Tryka, project manager, presented the engineering details of the Estero Parkway roadway improvements. Representatives for Bruce Howard & Assoc. gave a presentation of their landscape design and plant selection for the project which extends from US 41 to Three Oaks Parkway. They stated they have landscaped thousands of acres of communities, including Bonita Bay and The Brooks.
