Public information meetings will be conducted for the landscape design for Estero Parkway, the Florida Cancer Specialists’ medical office and outpatient treatment center located east of US 41 and south of Pelican Colony Blvd. and the Pavich Center located at 21256 Happy Hollow Lane and 8910 Corkscrew Road. The Planning & Zoning Board conducted a public hearing for amendments to the Comprehensive Plan pertaining to the 10-year water supply facilities work plan and wetlands at their meeting on June 28. Florida Statutes require that a regional water supply plan be conducted within 18 months following the South Florida Water Management District plan update. Representatives for Sprouts Farmers Market were requesting approval for their design for a 29,896 square-foot grocery store, associated parking infrastructure and monument sign. The Village Council is asking residents to join them in attending the Lee County Board of County Commissioners’ public hearing at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 19.  The Board will be considering the adoption of proposed amendments to the Lee County Comprehensive Land Use Plan that will eliminate the current controls on limerock mining.
