Intermittent ramp closures on I-75 at Corkscrew Road
Motorists can expect periodic closures of the southbound and northbound ramps on I-75 and Corkscrew Road, according to the Florida Department of Transportation. Crews will be resurfacing the roadway at I-75 exit 123 and related closures are planned to happen between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. through Friday, Feb. 12, weather permitting. According to FDOT, variable message signs will be in place to alert drivers, and motorists should follow detours. Council to address landscape maintenance contract, traffic signal agreement and Capital Improvements schedule on Wednesday, January 20, 2021
Council will start their meeting at 9:30 a.m. reviewing a bid for the annual mowing, landscape, and irrigation maintenance of Estero’s roads, including the US 41 median. Council will then be asked to approve the agreement between the Village and Estero Crossings for the payment of their share of construction costs for the construction of the Corkscrew Road/Puente Lane traffic signal. There will be a second reading and public hearing of Ordinance 2020-11 for Estero Crossing relating to the traffic signal at Corkscrew Road and Puente Lane and Ordinance 2021-01 updating the Capital Improvements schedule for FY 2020/2021. The Board will conduct public hearings starting at 4 p.m., Tuesday, for the school property on Three Oaks Parkway followed by the Capital Improvements Ordinance 2021-01 and the Pavich Center at 21250 Happy Hollow Lane and Corkscrew Road. The Estero Country Club at The Vines was requesting review of a 2,169 square foot expansion of their existing clubhouse, and their proposal to construct 2 new bocce ball courts, replace the temporary pickle ball courts with permanent courts and to modify the parking and landscaping in the area. Estero High School girls varsity team The Estero High girls junior varsity and varsity soccer teams are scheduled for three local/home games coming up this month.
