You can help us keep our community attractive by contacting the Village whenever you see the use of banners or feather flags along the right-of-way, such as the one displayed here. Estero has specific signage regulations which prohibit the use of banners, flags, balloons or other flying or flapping materials or signs which are stuck in the ground. In many cases, newer businesses are not aware of the strict signage regulations in Estero. Once they have been informed, they usually willingly comply. Marriott, Shoppes at University Highlands and Estero Grande on the agenda for the Design Review Board meeting on March 14, 2018
The Board will conduct a public hearing for Springhill Suites Marriott, located at 10370 Corkscrew Common Drive adjacent to Embassy Suites. They are proposing a 5-story, 100-room hotel. In addition there will be Public Information Meetings for the Shoppes at University Highlands, located west of Ben Hill Griffin Parkway between Everblades Parkway and Miromar Outlet Drive, and Parkside Estero Grande, the residential portion of Estero Grande located west of the intersection of Estero Parkway and US 41. Estero High School students honored at Council meeting on March 7, 2018

Council interviewed board candidates and approved a contract for US 41 landscape design project on February 21, 2018
Board Interviews Council conducted interviews with 11 applicants for the Planning & Zoning Board and the Design Review Board. Additional interviews will be conducted at the March 7 meeting. Action Items US 41 Landscape Beautification Project Council approved a contract with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to proceed with the landscape design work for the medians of US 41 from the northern boundary of Estero to just south of Coconut Road. Public Hearing Burgerim Restaurant The Burgerim Restaurant is a casual restaurant serving hamburgers, salads, sandwiches, and was requesting approval to sell beer and wine. The restaurant is located at 23111Fashion Drive in Coconut Point Mall. The indoor dining area seats 56 with an outdoor area which seats 24. Wildcats girls soccer team to compete in Class 4A state title game February 23
The Wildcats pulled off a 5-4 comeback victory over Southwest Ranches-Archbishop McCarthy Friday, February 16, to advance the team to its first-ever trip to a state final. The Wildcats will now face Montverde Academy, a 4-2 winner over St. Johns-Bartram Trail, in the state championship game at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 23, at Spec Martin Memorial Stadium in DeLand. DeLand is located in Volusia County in central Florida between Orlando and Daytona Beach. Estero Wildcats girls soccer team to host 4A state semifinals on Friday
The Wildcats will host Archbishop McCarthy in the 4A state semifinals at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 16, at the Estero High School’s Jeff Sommer Stadium on Williams Road. This follows their 3-1 win over Bloomingdale on Tuesday, cheered on by the hometown crowd dressed in white to support the team. The Wildcats are now 24-2-1. Admission is $9.
