The Estero Concert Series will feature Francis Poulenc’s Sonata for Oboe and Piano Op. 185, Robert Schumann’s Three Romances for Oboe and Piano, and Franz Schubert’s String Quartet No. 13 in A minor at their upcoming concert at 4 p.m., Sunday, March 13. Estero Concert Series features music by Schubert and Franck
Gifted chamber music artists will present Franz Schubert’s spirited Piano Trio No. 2 in E-flat major and Cesar Franck’s emotional Piano Quintet in F minor at the Estero Concert Series’ performance at the Koreshan State Park at 4 p.m., Sunday, January 17. Costume Contest from the Koreshan State Park Halloween Fest
District 4 Council member Katy Errington served as a judge for the most original and creative Halloween costume contest entered by the 30 plus children in attendance. In addition, while the activities were going on, one of the employees of the park noticed a raccoon in a tree with a plastic bottle stuck on its head. As a Councilor representing the Village of Estero, Errington was approached by a park employee and asked who could be called to remove the bottle from the animal’s head. Annual Koreshan State Park Halloween Fest
District 1 Council member Bill Ribble joined in on the festivities at the annual Koreshan State Park Halloween Fest by having his face painted courtesy of the Kayaking Tour volunteers. Design Review Board conducts first public information workshop
The Design Review Board (DRB) held its first public information workshop on June 10, 2015. Both the DRB and the Planning and Zoning Board (PZB) will be conducting public information workshops which allow Estero residents an opportunity to learn about proposed projects and to provide their input before final decisions have been reached about the developments. Community Development Director and Village Clerk added to Village of Estero staff
The Village of Estero has hired Mary Gibbs to serve as the Village’s Community Development Director and Kathleen Hall to serve as the Village Clerk. Mary Gibbs recently retired from serving as the Director of Community Development for Lee County. She had 30 years’ experience working with the County and during her tenure she had become known as a leader in one-stop permitting and other process efficiencies, including the expansion of electronic services.
