The Village of Estero is looking to develop a “brand” that represents Estero’s unique qualities to be used on roadway monument signs and other products. Public Hearing The Design Review Board approved the architectural plans for the Texas Roadhouse restaurant at Shoppes at Estero Grande at their meeting on January 23 with the stipulation that the colors of the building are checked against the Estero Grande Pattern Book. Vice-Mayor Bill Ribble named President of the Southwest Florida League of Cities Board

On January 22, 2019, the Southwest Florida League of Cities (SWFLC), announced its 2019 officers, with the Village of Estero’s Vice-Mayor Bill Ribble named President. Other Board officers will be City of Bonita Springs Councilman Fred Forbes as Vice President; City of La Belle Commissioner Julie Wilkins as Treasurer; and City of Sanibel Vice-Mayor Mick Denham as Secretary. Approximately 75 residents attended the first workshop held to help the Village determine the long-range vision for the future Parks and Recreation Plan. Following a brief overview of the planning process, residents participated by placing dots on photos of items they felt were priorities and writing suggestions on post it notes and placing them on maps of existing areas where they felt improvements could be made in the facilities and/or recreation opportunities.
