The Design Review Board will conduct public hearings for the West Bay Golf Club, Bassett Furniture at Coconut Point Mall and Altar’d State Coconut Point at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 10. In addition, there will be a public information meeting for Coconut Point Pre-Owned Vehicles and workshops for the Shoppes at Estero Grande and Estero Grande Pattern Book. Public Hearings Miromar Playland Miromar Outlet Mall is planning to relocate their existing play center and add an interior climbing wall, outdoor seating, shade structures and decorative bronze railing for containment. The Design Review Board will conduct public hearings for the Mirormar Playland, Pelican Sound clubhouse renovation, Sunmart Convenience Store and the Estero Grande pattern book at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday December 13, 2017. In addition, the Board will conduct public information meetings for West Bay golf course improvements, Phoenix at Estero assisted living facility, Marriott Springhill Suites Hotel, Primrose School of Estero and Shoppes at Estero Grande. Public Information Meeting – Bassett Furniture Representatives for Bassett Furniture presented their plans for a new 15,100-square foot store at 23230 Via Villagio at Coconut Point Mall, adjacent to City Mattress. The building will be Mediterranean in style, with fabric canopy on two windows and the building will be painted in Earth tones. Their plans call for enhanced landscaping, park bench seating area with a fountain, and auto and bicycle parking areas. Genova, currently under construction at the southeast corner of Corkscrew Road and Via Coconut Point, is requesting minor architectural modifications to the towers, chimneys and windows in their buildings, and giving notice to add two units to Buildings E and F under their approved zoning. Representatives for Heartland Dental, a 5,520 square foot multi-tenant (medical/dental & retail) building, are requesting approval for their development order. Design Review Board conducts first public information workshop
The Design Review Board (DRB) held its first public information workshop on June 10, 2015. Both the DRB and the Planning and Zoning Board (PZB) will be conducting public information workshops which allow Estero residents an opportunity to learn about proposed projects and to provide their input before final decisions have been reached about the developments. The DRB reviews applications regarding appearance and design, landscaping, pedestrian and vehicular connectivity, and open space of developments in the Village of Estero.
