Land Development Code reviewed by Council on January 13, 2021
Council reviewed proposed changes to the Land Development Code during this workshop. The Land Development Code lays out zoning and other regulations for subdivisions and development of land. Council suggested several changes to the proposed revisions. Public Comment: 2 people made their comments known at the meeting. In addition, public input has been received through letters and E-comments, as well as comments from the Design Review Board, Planning and Zoning Board and Council at various meetings conducted in 2020. The Board will conduct public hearings at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, for the school property on Three Oaks Parkway, the Capital Improvements Ordinance 2021-01 and the Pavich Center at 21250 Happy Hollow Lane and Corkscrew Road. Florida Department of Health and Lee County Government announce opening of vaccine reservations this week
The Florida Department of Health-Lee (FDOH) and Lee County government announced today that there is enough vaccine supply to schedule about 1,800 additional appointments Thursday and Friday, Jan. 14 and 15, at the site near Southwest Florida International Airport for seniors and frontline healthcare workers. After that, there will be no FDOH-Lee vaccine supply remaining this week. The reservation slots are expected to be claimed quickly, likely within minutes. Safely dispose of your household chemicals at Estero Community Park January 20, 2021
Residents will be able to safely and responsibly dispose of household chemical waste, such as leftover paints, cleaners, herbicides, pesticides, automotive fluids and pool chemicals, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021. The collection, hosted in partnership with Lee County Solid Waste, will be held at the Estero Community Park, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd. Drop off is an easy, drive-through process available to all residents at no charge.
